With over 30 years in business, the Atlanta Back Clinic is dedicated to providing patients with the highest quality physical therapy care. We strongly adhere to a one-to-one (one therapist to one patient) personalized approach to health care delivery. Each physical therapist has training and experience with people who have the following dysfunctions:

  • Low back and/or neck pain
  • Sciatica

  • TMJ dysfunction (pain)
  • Upper/lower extremity (limb) orthopedic dysfunction
  • Postural changes
  • Sports-related injuries

Awareness Through Movement ®
The Feldenkrais Method® of Posture and Movement Re-Education

These classes are held on Fridays, from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM, and are
$15 per class or $75 for a series of  6 classes. A national guild-certified Feldenkrais Practioner, Deb Herberger,  P.T. will lead you through gentle movements designed to increase your awareness of  neuromuscular patterns and habits that are contributing to pain, stiffness, fatigue, and movement inefficiency. Improve your game, increase your flexibility, recapture the sheer joy of moving…Wear comfortable clothing. Exercise mats provided. (Call first, as class schedule is subject to change).

Pilates Exercise
Pilates is a form of body conditioning that combines core strengthening, muscle lengthening and breathing to improve body awareness, develop trunk stability and restore muscle balance to the musculoskeletal system. A Certified Pilates Instructor offers individual and beginner group instruction in the fundamentals of Pilates mat exercises. She will safely guide you through the proper form and technique of the Pilates method and will provide individual instruction on ways to appropriately challenge your body to maximize the benefits and minimize the risk for injury.

Training and Fitness Center Info
A training and fitness center is available for individuals interested in improving their physical conditioning level. Exercise emphasis is placed on functional performance as well as strength, endurance, balance / coordination and flexibility. An evaluation session with a physical therapist is required prior to use of the facility. Monthly membership fees range from $30 - $50 depending on frequency of use per week.

Nutrition Wellness Program
The Atlanta Back Clinic is a provider for a Nutrition Wellness Program called Clinicians Choice. Clinicians Choice distributes a line of pharmaceutical grade nutritional products to enhance the health and well-being of our patients. All products have been manufactured at plants inspected for ingredient purity by the Food and Drug Administration. The effectiveness of each vitamin, mineral and neutraceutical is also enhanced by increased absorption within the body.

Student Athlete Injury Program
The Student Athlete Injury Program is for student athletes new to the clinic who have sustained an injury due to sport activity. This program is free and is available after school hours and on Saturday mornings. A 15 minute time period is set aside for a brief consultation along with suggestions for treatment. You will be evaluated by an experienced Physical Therapist with knowledge of sport related musculo-skeletal problems. Call to schedule an appointment.

Patient Education Booklet
The Atlanta Back Clinic Patient Education Booklet is available for distribution at a cost of $15.00. The Patient Education Booklet was written by Physical Therapists at the Atlanta Back Clinic and is intended to supplement the evaluation and treatment sessions. The material contained in the booklet will help you learn how to recover from your condition as well as prevent future problems.
